Donald Flanagan, CEO & President
Donald Flanagan is the founder and President of Brandon Associates, LLC, the largest independent public affairs and issues management firm in the Northeast. Mr. Flanagan is legislative counsel to some of the largest interests in corporate America, and provides clients with comprehensive, hands-on representation at the federal level and among the states. A former Advisor and Chief Aide to Massachusetts Governor Edward J. King, Mr. Flanagan served for seven years as the Executive Vice President and Chief Lobbyist of the largest life and health insurance trade association in the northeast. Most recently, Mr. Flanagan served on Senator Scott Brown’s (R- Mass) Finance Committee during his 2010 campaign and now serves as Finance Co-Director for the Scott Brown for US Senate Committee.
Mr. Flanagan's ability to represent clients at the national level is aided by his longstanding association with the Republican Governors Association (RGA), the National Governors Association (NGA), the National Association of Attorneys General (NAAG), and the Democratic Leadership Council (DLC). Mr. Flanagan was also elected as Democratic nominee for the Massachusetts House of Representatives from the 22nd Middlesex District. Most recently, Clients benefit from the contacts and longstanding friendships he has forged on both sides of the political aisle.
Mr. Flanagan is actively involved in representing each of the firm's clients and manages a dedicated staff that is experienced in every facet of the legislative, executive and administrative process. Mr. Flanagan provides day-to-day strategic advice and counsel to a number of national and international technology companies offering public safety solutions in the areas of law enforcement, homeland security and defense.
