Donald B. Flanagan
President & CEO
Donald Flanagan is the founder and President of Brandon Associates, LLC, the largest independent public affairs and issues management firm in the Northeast. Mr. Flanagan served as legislative counsel to some of the largest interests in corporate America, and provided clients with comprehensive, hands-on representation at the federal, state and local levels. A former Advisor and Chief Aide to Massachusetts Governor Edward J. King, Mr. Flanagan served for seven years as the Executive Vice President and Chief Lobbyist of the largest life and health insurance trade association in the northeast. Most recently, Mr. Flanagan served on Senator Scott Brown's (R- Mass) Finance Committee during his 2010 campaign and now serves as Finance Co-Director for the Scott Brown for US Senate Committee in 2012 and is Senator Brown's National Treasurer for the ScottPAC.
Over the years Mr. Flanagan was associated with the Republican Governors Association (RGA), the National Governors Association (NGA), the National Association of Attorneys General (NAAG), and the Democratic Leadership Council (DLC). Mr. Flanagan was also elected as Democratic nominee for the Massachusetts House of Representatives from the 22nd Middlesex District.
Most recently, Mr. Flanagan has provided strategic advice and counsel to a number of national and international companies offering public safety, defense and transportation solutions in the areas of Homeland Security, Defense and Law Enforcement. As a result, the firm has quickly become the lead supplier of Tactical Technologies, Law Enforcement Software, Mass Transportation Solutions, Aviation Products, Maritime Security, and Critical Infrastructure-Force Protection Products as well as Erosion and Flood Mitigation solutions.
Mr. Flanagan has for years successfully capitalized on his significant knowledge, expertise and deep relationships in both public and private sectors. Mr. Flanagan continues to lead the firm's focused business model which seeks out and targets companies that can capitalize on key competitive advantages to increase revenue through market growth, distribution or product line expansion and/or market consolidation. Mr. Flanagan actively works with clients to expand their product line's market potential and create a dominate market share. Clients routinely benefit from the contacts and longstanding friendships he has forged throughout his career.
Mr. Flanagan is the founder of Beacon Operations Security Services, LLC (BOSS), founder of Global Military Systems, LLC and founder of Brandon/COPsync, LLC. Mr. Flanagan holds a BS and BA from Northeastern University and an MPA from Harvard's Kennedy School of Government.
